After Six-12 months Hiatus, Reimagined MDA Kevin Hart Youngsters Telethon Returns October 24

Six years after the radio waves deregistered after 45 years, the MDA Telethon is back this month with a new host, a new format, and a completely revamped set of distribution platforms.

Comedian / actor Kevin Hart, 41, will be joined by a phalanx of celebrities during the MDA Kevin Hart Kids Telethon on Saturday October 24th.

The Telethon will be a redesigned event with entertainment, comedy, musical performances and MDA’s “Let’s Play For A Cure” game elements. The special offers viewers the opportunity to support the Muscular Dystrophy Association and Help From the Hart Charity and gain insight into the essential work of the organization through meaningful profiles on families, research, care and advocacy.

Newly added celebrity guests to the two-hour special are Garcelle Beauvais, Aloe Blacc, Bryan Cranston, Adam Devine, Fat Joe, Liz Gillies, Aldis Hodge, Edwin Hodge, DJ Khaled, Daniel Levy, Loni Love, Leslie Mann and Robin Thicke. Gabrielle Union Wade and John David Washington. Previously announced for the show were Jack Black, Usain Bolt, Josh Gad, Michael B. Jordan and Jillian Mercado.

The reinterpreted Telethon will be broadcast live on October 24th from 8pm to 10pm Eastern on LOL Network platforms such as YouTube, Pluto and others. According to its website, Hart’s LOL network includes a collective network of more than 100 million viewers in 81 countries.

In seven decades, the MDA has provided more than $ 1 billion to the research and care of more than 300,000 Americans with muscular dystrophy, ALS, and related neuromuscular diseases. The MDA Labor Day Telethon ran through 2011; It was renamed the MDA Show of Strength in 2012, which ran from 2012 to 2014.
